Specialization is a good thing as it means the plastic surgeon has performed many of those types of cosmetic surgery in the past. Mistakes are also less likely to happen with experienced surgeons.

Ask for before and after photographs of past customers. Looking at his/her work will give you a good idea of this surgeons capabilities. You might also want to go further and get in touch with past clients as a means of confirmation. After all, anyone can display photo's of clients that may or may not have been theirs.

Local Hospitals

Is the plastic surgeon accredited with local hospitals? Asking this questions simply means you are looking for a vote of confidence from within the local sector. A hospital that recognizes the plastic surgeon will go a long way to allaying your fears about the quality and performance of the end product.
